Looking to Repair Your Old Roof Insulation?

Termex® cellulose insulation is the perfect solution for restoring damaged roof insulation.

Damage Caused by Martens – a Common Threat to Roofs

Strange noises or scratching sounds in your attic, especially in the evening or at night? This could mean an uninvited guest has moved in: the pine marten. This small predator may seem harmless but can cause significant damage to roof insulation.

Why Is Termex® Cellulose Wool Marten-Resistant?

Cellulose insulation is unattractive to martens because:

  • It’s not a mat material that can be rubbed against
  • It doesn’t contain glass fibers
  • It’s treated with boric acid and magnesium sulphate, which dry out the mucous membranes upon contact
  • It fills all voids, leaving no gaps or entry points
  • It achieves high density in pitched roofs (>42kg/m), forming a compact barrier

Based on extensive experience, once damaged insulation is replaced and resealed with Termex®, the problem doesn’t come back.

Energy Savings and Comfort You’ll Notice

Termex® cellulose insulation delivers high-performance thermal insulation through:

  • Full, gap-free cavity fill
  • Breathable cellulose fiber
  • Exceptional wind protection
  • High acoustic insulation (up to 59 dB with 35 cm, and αw = 1.00 with just 10 cm of material)

Cost-Efficient Installation and Operation

From production to installation and use, Termex® cellulose wool saves money across the entire life cycle of the building. Installation is quick and affordable, and the investment pays for itself through long-term energy savings.

With energy efficiency as a major factor in budgeting and home planning, Termex® is the smart choice.

Clean, Safe, Proven

Cellulose insulation is one of the oldest forms of industrially produced insulation, and one of the most rigorously tested.

Termex® wool is enhanced with fungicide and mold inhibitors that meet Class 0 standards under EN 15101-1, meaning no fungal or mold growth detectable under a microscope.

Fire safety is also a priority.

During fiberization, a fire retardant agent is added, and the material’s low air permeability helps slow fire spread.

In the event of fire, Termex® retains its volume and burns very slowly—by smoldering, not flaming.
The smoldering speed is just 1–2 mm per minute, offering extra protection for your home’s structure.
